Dr. Cason T. Hund

Dr. Cason T. Hund was born on Hilton Head Island, SC and moved to James Island, SC when he was 11 years old. He graduated from Porter-Gaud School in Charleston. He earned a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Life Sciences from Clemson University (Go Tigers!) and graduated from MUSC College of Dental Medicine in 2013.

He and his wife Jessica, who is a Family Physician at MUSC Health Daniel Island, live in Mt. Pleasant where they are active members of their community and members at East Cooper Baptist Church. They have two sons, Hack and Henry, and a little girl, Hattie!

Dr. Hund volunteers or has volunteered his time to several charitable efforts including East Cooper Community Outreach, Our Lady of Mercy Free Clinic, Dental Access Days, Give Kids a Smile Day, and The Charleston Free Clinic.

He is a member of The ADA, The SCDA, The Academy of General Dentistry, The Seattle Study Club's Charleston Collaborative, and The Palmetto Society.&

Dr. Matthew D. Mellin

Dr. Matthew D. Mellin was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, SC, attended Bishop England High School, and graduated in 2014. Dr. Mellin earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and graduated from MUSC College of Dental Medicine in 2024.

He and his fiance, Mae, a marketing manager for a master-planned community developer, live in Downtown Charleston with their Golden Retriever, Honey and their fluffy black cat, Raven. Mae and Matt enjoy trying out different restaurants, exploring the City with Honey and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Mellin is excited to expand his community involvement through charitable organizations and volunteer opportunities. He believes that enhancing the overall health and wellness of the community begins with education and servitude. Matt is eager to expand his knowledge and looks forward to forming meaningful relationships and providing the highest-quality care to all patients.
